My sweet husband came up with that amount and there is a story behind it. When we went to your Moms service we had to park down in the old church parking lot and scale the steps up to the new sanctuary. When we came out, Steve had to hold on to me because I am such a clutz and he knew I would fall. The next Sunday at church he talked to a friend and asked him how much he thought it would cost to put in some concrete steps at your Moms church, (I had no idea he was considering this)! And that’s where the $3500 came in. After much debate, I finally got him to agree that the money would do more in your school and I know your Mom would much rather you benefit. We didn’t slight the church, just thought your kids needed it more. As you know, we have a special needs granddaughter and we are fortunate enough to be able to keep her in a school here in Atlanta that helps her with everyday tasks. I know that is so important and God bless you for doing this for all of the kids you are able to help
